Invasive Species

Invasive species in Ontario are an increasing problem.  These plants take over woodlands, meadows and natural areas by competing for light, moisture and nutrients in the soil.  The Ontario Invasive Plant Council lists some of the invasive plants: (by clicking on the name it will take you to more information).  Some plants, like Giant Hogweed and Wild Parsnip can cause serious health issues to humans.
